Overview

Although this position is remote, we are specifically seeking candidates based in Oregon or Washington to ensure convenient access for regular in-person customer meetings and collaborative sessions.

The Sr. Account Manager position at ODP Business Solutions has two primary objectives: increasing existing account penetration and servicing existing revenue. The role involves traveling within the territory to make sales and solicit contracts from customers, selling office and non-office supply categories, and collaborating with specialists to achieve category penetration.

The employee will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, responding to service needs, and initiating sales support as needed. They will also execute pricing strategies based on customer profiles and maintain data integrity in the CRM. Developing selling strategies, training coworkers, and implementing sales initiatives are essential aspects of the role.

This role requires regular travel within the assigned territory to meet with customers and make sales, often away from the employee's regular place of business.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Existing account penetration: Travel within the territory to make sales, solicit orders, and grow share of wallet by selling more products or new categories, with minimal supervision.
  2. Servicing existing revenue: Maintain and expand current customer spend, including bids, contract negotiations, and re-bidding, ensuring profitability and executing pricing strategies.
  3. Data integrity: Maintain accurate customer information in CRM and support business planning and sales initiatives.
  4. Strategic development: Develop selling strategies, train coworkers, and respond to customer and company needs.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in related field
  • 5+ years of strategic account sales/management, preferably 8+ years with proven success at the C-Suite level
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Experience in B2B sales to large enterprises, contract negotiations, and delivering presentations
  • Ability to travel regularly within the territory
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Excellent communication skills in English
