We are seeking a Senior Account Manager for our Water Solutions group in North America, focusing on the Industry sub-segment. Water Solutions - Industry combines application expertise with Kemira’s product portfolio, including Coagulants, Polymers, and Process Chemicals, to deliver optimal solutions for water-intensive industries. The successful candidate will drive year-over-year revenue and gross margin growth through customer engagement and strategic alignment. The role is ideally based in the US or remote and reports to the Director, Commercial - INDUSTRY NA.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Demonstrating the ability to grow sales and gross margin annually.
  2. Conducting high-level sales calls and maintaining key customer relationships.
  3. Setting and managing sales and budget targets within the territory.
  4. Visiting customer sites to enhance Kemira’s brand presence and establish local contacts.
  5. Providing technical support for strategic projects and customer segments.
  6. Supporting segment strategy development.
  7. Developing and executing account plans and strategies.
  8. Utilizing internal resources effectively to maximize customer satisfaction.
  9. Collaborating with functions like PLM, Legal, and Logistics to achieve territorial goals.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in industry sales and customer engagement.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of Kemira’s products and applications, combined with commercial acumen.
  4. Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  5. Flexibility and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  6. Knowledge of Kemira’s product lines such as Coagulants, Polymers, and Process Chemicals.
  7. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  9. Understanding of chemical applications for industrial water treatment (preferred).
