Job description

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations :

Build strong relationships and customer knowledge by understanding the Motorola Solutions business model.

Become a trusted adviser to the customer and partners using the vision, strategy, and tools available.

Learn, develop, and clearly articulate account-specific strategies for all Motorola solutions.

Develop and strengthen customer relationships across multiple levels and functions.

Lead the extended Motorola team to understand the account's strategy, business imperatives, and top opportunities.

Allocate resources and collaborate with internal product groups and external partners to meet key account needs.

Specific Knowledge / Skills :

Seeking 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or technical roles related to Department of Defense Services and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies.

Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance.

Experience in selling or designing complex software and communication solutions is highly desired.

Excellent communication, sales, and writing skills.

Proven track record of closing major sales.

Understanding of the proposal process; proposal assembly experience preferred.

Technical background in RF communications, 1st Responder software platforms (CAD, RMS, E911, Video) strongly desired.

Knowledge of IP networking, Information Assurance, or Cyber Security is a plus.

Self-motivated problem solver.

Ability to help customers envision solutions, services, and applications.

Solid knowledge of Salesforce.com and Google Productivity Suite is strongly desired.

Background in DoD or working knowledge of DoD Service; sales experience with O5 and above Commanders is a plus.

Experience in developing and executing sales and go-to-market strategies in collaborative environments.

Must be self-reliant and effective working remotely.

Willing to travel domestically at least 2 weeks per month.

Must pass a stringent background check and obtain security clearance as required.

This role involves working in high-security areas governed by the CJIS Security Policy, requiring a background check.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety/military experience OR 8+ years of relevant experience.

Ability to obtain necessary background clearance.

Travel Requirements: 25-50%.
