Job Title: Senior IoT Account Executive

The Senior IoT Account Executive is an IoT sales professional that actively prospects and cultivates new business relationships to drive IoT revenue for T-Mobile within the Public Sector, Mid-Market, and SMB segments. Responsible for working with companies to implement new business initiatives to drive strategic revenue & realize cost savings using IoT. Responsible for opportunity and account planning to identify new IoT opportunities, managing their sales funnel, accurately forecasting their business, and closing new business. Collaborates with customer executives, strategic partners, and internal T-Mobile resources to expand share of wallet for IoT solutions used by Public Sector, Mid-Market, and SMB customers.

The IoT Senior Account Executive will work with Public Sector, Mid-Market, and SMB customers and T-Mobile for Business sales teams to solve business problems through IoT solution selling. This role requires a consultative selling approach with experience in deal negotiation up to the C-level. It includes driving strategy and managing the entire sales cycle – from identifying solutions or partnerships and building a value proposition to negotiating and closing deals.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Identify customer needs and demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services through solution-based selling techniques.
  2. Utilize all sales force automation, funnel management, and prospecting tools; manage sales funnel and generate sales activity reports and forecasts.
  3. Coordinate with internal departments to onboard new customers.
  4. Research business information about prospects.
  5. Conduct contract and sales negotiations.
Education and Work Experience
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technology preferred (optional).
  2. High School Diploma/GED required.
  3. 7 years of B2B sales experience in high tech sales required.
  4. 3 years of selling complex IoT/M2M services as a lead salesperson or Solutions Sales Engineer required.
  5. 5 years of experience in complex solutions/applications required.
  6. 7-10 years of combined sales and technical solutions experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Proficiency in IoT industry technology required.
  2. Extensive knowledge of the IoT ecosystem including infrastructure, systems, cloud, edge compute, hardware, modules, and platforms required.
  3. Proven success in meeting/exceeding sales targets and leadership in sales required.
  4. Experience selling IoT solutions into Fortune 500 & 1,000 accounts required.
  5. Solid presentation skills required.
  6. Strong business acumen and executive presence required.
Licenses and Certifications
  1. At least 21 years of age.
  2. Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Additional Compensation and Benefits

The total target cash pay range is $147,600 - $266,300, including incentives. The base pay range is $88,560 - $159,780. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience. Employees are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives depending on their role.
