Sr. Account Director, Business Development (Real-world Evidence/Non-interventional Studies) - US, Remote

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., a global leader in scientific research and innovation, as a Senior Account Director in our Business Development team. This remote role offers an outstanding opportunity to impact the field of Real-world Evidence (RWE) and Non-interventional Studies (NIS). We seek ambitious professionals to drive our RWE and market access advisory team to new heights.

Essential Functions:
  1. Spearhead new business development and customer growth across pharmaceutical/biotech clients, aiming to grow the pipeline and achieve authorization targets.
  2. Collaborate with account teams and SMEs to build strategic account plans, understanding client needs.
  3. Foster relationships with partners, customers, and team members. Share insights on industry trends and PPD’s capabilities.
  4. Lead cross-functional teams of SMEs to promote PPD’s products and services.
  5. Develop proposals and client presentations, lead bid defense meetings, and support contract negotiations for new business growth.
  6. Maintain detailed and accurate records in Salesforce (CRM).
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant qualifications.
  • 5-10 years of experience selling real-world solutions and consultancy services to medical affairs, safety, clinical development, market access, and HEOR clients.
  • Solid understanding of drug development principles, biopharma/biotech priorities, and related needs.
  • Experience with the Challenger Sales Model is highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Deep understanding of RWE/RWD trends and advancements.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop sales leads, deliver professional presentations, manage sales processes, and negotiate contracts.
  • Successful project management across multidisciplinary teams.
Working Conditions and Environment:
  • Office environment with occasional travel (25-50%), domestic and international.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Stationary work for 6-8 hours daily.
  • Repetitive hand movements; ability to lift objects up to 20 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent mobility; ability to perform under stress and multi-task effectively.
