Job summary

Brook + Whittle is seeking a knife cutter operator in Kansas to handle straight edge cuts using a digital knife cutter. The role runs Monday through Friday, 3:30pm to 12:00am, with responsibilities including jacket review, material measurement, machine setup, alignment, and sign-off upon completion.

Candidates must read and interpret job jackets, operate machinery safely, and manage measurements. Regular attendance is required, with potential exposure to noise, heat, and dust; standing for long

Responsibilities

• Review the job jacket to verify specifications.
• Measure materials and set up the knife cutter accordingly.
• Enter correct measurements for cutting.
• Align stock and feed through the cutter.
• Band stock together and sign off the job jacket when finished.
• Transport stock to other areas as needed.
• Sweep around equipment at end of shift.
• Clean tables and work areas.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Move large jobs using pallet jack or forklift as needed.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for any jobs that need to have a straight edge cut on them. This requires operating a digital knife cutter. This position is Monday - Friday 3:30pm-12:00am.

• Look over the job jacket.
• Measure materials and determine how to set‑up machine.
• Set up the machine. Enter correct measurements to be cut.
• Align stock correctly and put stock through machine.
• Band stock together and sign off job jacket when finished.
• Take stock over to other areas as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

• Sweeps up around equipment at end of shift.
• Cleans off table tops and work area.
• Performs other duties as required or directed.
• Large job may consist of moving skids by a pallet jack or forklift.
