Job summary

Bcore is seeking a SQL Systems Engineer to join our Herndon, VA team. This role supports multiple domains with a large user load, focusing on server administration, AD/DNS/DHCP, scripting, and patching across on-prem and cloud environments.

A TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required and you will collaborate across IT, cloud, and operations to deliver secure, scalable solutions. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, imaging, deploying updates, and maintaining enterprise standards while

Qualifications

• Proven troubleshooting across multiple tiers in complex IT environments.
• Experience with Windows Server OS from 2008R2 to 2019.
• Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with cloud technologies and hybrid environments.
• SCCM/SQL experience with 1906+ and SQL proficiency.
• Knowledge of image management, builds, and deployments.
• Experience scripting with PowerShell, VB, C#.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work independently or in teams; adapt to new tech.
• Experience writing enterprise-level technical standards and diagrams.
• Strong customer service skills; MCSE/MCITP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support 1000+ user loads across domains; manage accounts, policies, servers, and software configurations.
• Identify complex problems, document options, and communicate solutions to customers.
• Monitor infrastructure and coordinate changes with minimal end-user impact; research new systems for updates and hotfixes.

Responsibilities

• The SQL Systems Engineer will support multiple domains with a 1000+ user load on each network. Duties will include user account management, account and group policy management, installation and configurations of server and software, scripting, upgrade management, Tier3 and Tier4 O&M troubleshooting, responsible for trouble shooting server network, and system issues.
• Ability to identify complex problems, document, and clearly articulate option of resolution to the customer. This is a complex and widely heterogeneous IT environment requiring engineering solutions for physical and virtual environments, with a goal to responsibly virtualize systems that are compatible for cloud environment services.
• Proactive self-starter requiring minimal supervision who can monitor existing infrastructure, identify and coordinate implementation changes to address problems or engineering changes with little to no impact to the end users. The candidate will play a vital role in researching and engineering a new system to manage the distribution of updates and hotfixes across domains.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to demonstrate of Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier4 troubleshooting skills
• Ability to demonstrate expert experience with Server OS 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016, 2019
• Expert knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience with cloud technologies.
• Microsoft SCCM/SQL Experience with 1906+
• Have to know SQL
• Understanding of Images, Manage Image, Build Image, and Deploy the Image
• Configure, manage, and deploy software updates to required groups.
• Experience with scripting in PowerShell, VB, C#
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute task
• Candidate must be able to work independently or with a team
• Candidate must have the ability to adjust and learn new technologies
• Experience writing enterprise level technical standards documentation and diagrams
• Strong Customer service skills
• Certification in MCSE/MCITP

What you can expect from us

• The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is:$170,000 - 200,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements. This is not a guarantee.
