Job summary

TransCore, LP in Houston, TX is seeking a Database Administrator II to join the Production Database Administration team. You will provide day-to-day and on-call first line support for Infinity production installations, configure databases, optimize performance, develop stored procedures, and ensure data flow and integrity across the system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6–9 years of SQL Server Database Administration, Development and Data Warehouse experience.
• Experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups and data warehouse environments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and SSIS/SSRS package maintenance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Own daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks including backups, replication and access control.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures and data loads for the data warehouse.
• Design fact/dimension tables and manage SSIS/SSRS reports and documentation.
• Provide first-line support during on-call hours and after-hours releases.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks and security issues.
