Job summary

KIHOMAC is seeking a Database Administrator to install, configure, operate, and maintain database systems across the MDA enterprise network. The role emphasizes implementing best practices, policies, and documentation, while monitoring performance and supporting disaster recovery.

You will collaborate with developers and architects to define database requirements and explore new database technologies, with DoD 8570 Level II certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• +1 years of experience with MS SQL Server 2019 or higher.
• Experience with MS SQL Server cluster, performance tuning, monitoring.
• Experience with MS SQL Server backup/recovery.
• Knowledge of relational DBMS concepts, design, architecture, operations.
• Experience with databases in Azure or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, operate, and maintain database systems.
• Support creation and maintenance of standard database policies, procedures and documentation.
• Implement database performance monitoring, tuning and optimization.
• Support backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with developers, business owners and architects on designs and implementations.
• Participate in IT and business projects to define database system requirements.
