Job summary

VSolvit, LLC. is seeking a SQL Server Database Developer/Data Engineer II to independently design, develop, and maintain enterprise SQL Server database solutions supporting mission-critical applications and reporting platforms.

You will develop ETL/ELT processes, optimize performance, support data warehouse initiatives, and contribute to architecture and system integration efforts. This is an onsite role in Norco, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4–7 years of SQL Server database development experience.
• Experience with SSIS.
• Experience with ETL/ELT development.
• Experience designing relational databases and dimensional models.
• Experience with database performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD deployment processes.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• If previously employed by the U.S. Government, a post-employment ethics letter may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SQL Server database objects (stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, indexes).
• Design and optimize OLTP database structures.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines and automated data integration processes.
• Perform advanced query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Develop source-to-target mapping documentation and ERDs.
• Create curated reporting datasets for Power BI and analytics.
• Participate in database release management and deployments.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, and stakeholders to design scalable data solutions.
