Job summary

JPMorganChase, within Neovest, is seeking a Data Engineer III to design, engineer, and operate scalable SQL Server platforms across on-prem and cloud environments. The role focuses on trusted data collection, storage, access, and analytics, with emphasis on security and reliability.

Responsibilities include platform architecture, HA/DR implementations, and AI-assisted validation within data pipelines, supported by strong T-SQL and PowerShell skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server engineering and administration.
• Strong knowledge of Always On Availability Groups and Windows Server Failover Clustering.
• Advanced T-SQL skills and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing large fleets of production databases across multiple environments.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows.
• Ability to lead production incident response and postmortems.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Experience with AI-enabled data pipelines and validation practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the platform administrator for PMS SQL Server databases in production and non-production.
• Design and maintain platform architectures for on-prem, Azure VM, and GCP SQL Server instances.
• Establish standards for availability, performance, security, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain SQL Server instances in various environments.
• Manage tuning, indexing, replication, encryption, and secure configurations.
• Oversee high-availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On, clustering).
• Implement monitoring, capacity planning, cost optimization, and scaling strategies.
• Administer backup and restore processes using SQL Server tools and PowerShell.
• Provision, configure, and support GCP database services.
• Apply AI-assisted practices to strengthen SDLC quality for data pipelines.
