Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer III to join the Infrastructure Platforms and Databases team. You will manage SQL Server databases, design data objects, and apply AI-assisted methods to optimize capacity and resilience.

The role requires strong knowledge of relational databases, cloud concepts, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Location: United States, with enterprise-scale responsibility and ongoing cloud migrations.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server or other RDBMS.
• Writing T-SQL code and database objects (Stored Procs, Views).
• Experience using enterprise AI capabilities to support infrastructure workflows with validation and data sensitivity awareness.
• Ability to review AI-assisted recommendations before implementation.
• Experience with ETL tools (SSIS), Reporting tools (SSRS) and Analytic tools (SSAS).
• Experience with database performance tuning and security.

Responsibilities

• Applies technical knowledge to projects of moderate scope and ensures monitoring of applications.
• Uses AI capabilities to accelerate monitoring and capacity analysis while handling data securely.
• Resolves nuances and escalates when needed.
• Builds and decomposes technical problems considering upstream/downstream data and systems.
• Supports capacity processes and partners with teams to identify risks and remediation statuses.
• Makes significant decisions for multi-technology projects.
• Applies AI-assisted approaches to identify recurring capacity risks and improves remediation workflows.
• Collaborates across roles in a diverse environment.
