Job summary

Calculated Hire is seeking an experienced Reporting Developer in Charlotte, NC with strong SQL and BI tooling to develop, maintain, and support reports and reporting solutions using Power BI, Report Builder, and SSRS.

The role involves translating complex business requirements into reliable data solutions, troubleshooting queries, collaborating with stakeholders, and documenting processes while working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Software Developer; business analyst experience alone is not sufficient.
• Experience building and supporting Power BI, Report Builder and SSRS reports.
• Advanced SQL skills: read, write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries.
• Able to learn proprietary SQL-based tools and processes quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality solutions.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Calculated Hire is in search of an experienced Reporting Developer with strong SQL expertise for our Fortune 100 Financial Services Company. You must be able to work independetly in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, enhance, and support reports and reporting solutions using Power BI, Report Builder, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and related database objects.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective reporting and software solutions.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to reports, SQL queries, data, and application functionality.
• Work with existing SQL-based development tools and proprietary processes, becoming proficient in the organization's technical environment.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation related to development, testing, and support activities.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality

Required Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience as a Software Developer; business analyst experience alone is not sufficient.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and supporting reports using Power BI, Report Builder, and SSRS.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including the ability to read, write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.

Work Schedule

Position is initially 5 days onsite with ability to switch to 3 onsite, 2 remote once working independently.
