Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced SQL Developer to support a large-scale data migration project in New York City. You will transform, validate, and prepare data from a legacy SQL database for import into a new enterprise system.

You'll work with business and technical teams to develop SQL views, implement data mapping requirements, and create validation queries while supporting testing and data reconciliation throughout the migration.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of SQL development experience.
• Experience with SQL Server and complex queries.
• Experience with data migration, mapping, and validation.
• Strong Excel and CSV handling skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with SIS or higher education data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and enhance existing SQL views and migration logic.
• Develop new SQL views and data transformation queries.
• Implement business mapping and conversion requirements.
• Create validation and data quality checks.
• Generate datasets and CSV files for review and import.
• Investigate and resolve data issues and rejected records.
• Support testing and data reconciliation activities.
• Document data mappings, transformations, and validation processes.
