Job summary

Cloud Analytics Technologies, LLC invites a skilled SQL Server DBA to join our team in New Jersey. The role focuses on administration of SQL Server databases across versions 2008R2–2022, with responsibilities for upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.

You will implement high-availability options such as Always On, configure backups, security, and recovery strategies, and automate tasks with PowerShell.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of MS SQL Server DBA experience.
• Experience with SQL Server 2008R2–2022.
• Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of SQL Server.
• Migration from older versions to newer versions.
• Automation with PowerShell and SQL scripting.
• Backup, restore, recovery and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer SQL Server databases across multiple versions.
• Plan and execute upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Implement and manage High Availability and DR solutions (Always On, Replication, Log Shipping, Mirroring, Clustering).
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and manage security configurations.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and SQL scripting.

Job Description

• We are looking candidate having 6-8 years of experience in MS SQL server administration.
• 6-8 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration experience in SQL Server 2008R2/2008/2012/2014/2016/2017/2019/2022.
• Installation configuration and troubleshooting of SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017/2019/2022.
• Experience in Migrating from SQL Server 2012 (or any lower versions) to SQL Server 2014/2016/2017/2019/2022.
• Experience in upgrading SQL server to new versions and applying service packs and patches.
• Proficient with SQL Management Studio, Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, rescheduling jobs with SQL Server.
• Creating DB Maintenance plans, rebuild/reorganize indexes & performing integrity checks.
• Highly proficient in database Backup, Restore, Recovery, Linked servers, and Database Maintenance Plans.
• Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recoveries like Always on Availability groups, Replication, Log Shipping, Mirroring, and Clustering.
• Proficient in implementing different types of Replication Models like Snapshot, Transactional, and Merge.
• Experience in Implementing Always On in SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017,2019,2022.
• Involved in Installing, Configuring, and Maintaining of WSFC in Windows server/SQL Server 2012 and above versions
• Auditing database configuration and security configurations.
• Actively involved in troubleshooting the incidents and System Performance by tuning SQL queries and stored procedures by using Query store, SQL Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Windows performance monitor, DMVs, Resource Governor, Data collection Reports, crystal reports, DBCC and Custom Script, Built-in performance Report and Activity Monitor.
• Experience with Database Backup and Restore. Experience in various encryption types
• Should have PowerShell and SQL Scripting knowledge for automation things.
