The City of Madison Information Technology Department is seeking a Database Administrator to manage SQL databases, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services, while supporting third-party applications. This full-time role involves standardized development and support tasks with supervision from senior staff.

Qualifications

• Assist primary database administrator with routine tasks.
• Establish backups and test restore procedures.
• Ensure high availability per application needs.
• Troubleshoot outages, including after hours.
• Work with development to set up backup/availability requirements.

Responsabilités

• Perform basic business analysis for customer requirements.
• Write/test/implement software code.
• Prepare documentation for users and customize data interfaces.
• Configure interfaces/workflows and test new functionality.
• Coordinate data conversions and create end-user reports.
• Assist with vendor coordination and on-premise documentation.
• Lead smaller projects as needed.
