Job Description: GDIT has an immediate opening for a Compliance SQL Database Administrator supporting the CITS contract for USCENTCOM, based in Tampa, Florida. The Compliance Database Administrator plays a critical, hands‑on role in securing the database servers. This position is responsible of tasks required to manage, secure, and optimize enterprise‑class database systems while that adhere to Depart of War (DoW) cybersecurity standards. This role involves regular database administering, maintenance, patching, troubleshooting and the direct application of security configurations to achieve and maintain compliance for a CORA cyber inspection.
We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator with deep expertise in DISA STIGs and hand‑on experience installing, monitoring, maintaining, scripting and remediating for an enterprise level compliance. The ideal candidate demonstrated strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and leadership audiences. Responsibilities include:
Participate in meetings and working groups with Operations, Database, and Cybersecurity personnel (government and contractor) to track and ensure database cybersecurity compliance.
Support database architecture and engineering reviews by providing hands‑on compliance‑focused implementation feedback on new database capabilities, technologies, and infrastructure changes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
