Responsibilities and Qualifications
Technically skilled database administrator with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in SQL database administration.
In this role, the DBA will be the respondent to database problems that arise and carry out periodic maintenance and troubleshooting.
Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements.
Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
Prepare documentations and specifications.
Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
Profile server resource usage and optimize and tweak as necessary.
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors.
Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access.
Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered in the event of memory loss.
Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance. Suggesting changes and improvements for database maintenance or protection.
