Job summary

Forvia is seeking a quality-focused professional to ensure incoming parts meet specifications and to drive supplier quality improvements. The role involves reviewing inspection histories, organizing incoming inspections, and dispositioning rejected parts to prevent recurrence.

Responsibilities include initiating corrective actions with suppliers, coordinating with program teams, and approving PPAP after clearance by quality engineers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education level: Associate's Degree is required.
  • Related experience is preferred; Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
  • Basic Quality Techniques understood.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Overall responsibilities and duties:

  • Establish incoming quality requirements to ensure correct parts are received and verified for product quality prior to their issuance into manufacturing
  • Review product inspection history to make future inspection decisions
  • Organize goods incoming inspection when required
  • Review parts that have been rejected by the production floor to determine root cause so that parts can be pre-dispositioned
  • Drive supplier quality improvement
  • Initiate and validate corrective and preventive actions with the suppliers for immediate containment actions (Request of RMA for dispositioned)
  • Manage supplier progress plans in co-operation with the plant buyers
  • Approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP); only after accepted by the Program Quality Engineer and the plant quality department

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: Associate's Degree is required

Experience:

  • Related experience is preferred
