Job summary

Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader, is seeking an SQA to improve quality aligned with site targets and Demerit objectives. The role focuses on inbound quality and PPAP readiness.

You will establish incoming quality requirements, review inspection history, organize incoming inspections, analyze rejected parts for root causes, drive supplier quality improvements, and lead corrective and preventive actions with suppliers, culminating in PPAP approvals with the Program Quality Engineer

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree is required.
  • Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
  • Basic quality techniques understood.

Responsibilities

  • Establish incoming quality requirements to ensure correct parts are received and verified for product quality.
  • Review product inspection history to inform future inspection decisions.
  • Organize goods incoming inspection when required.
  • Review rejected parts to determine root cause for disposition.
  • Drive supplier quality improvement.
  • Initiate and validate corrective and preventive actions with suppliers for immediate containment actions (Request of RMA for dispositioned).
  • Manage supplier progress plans in co-operation with the plant buyers.
  • Approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP); only after accepted by the Program Quality Engineer and the plant quality department.

Overall responsibilities and duties:

The role of an SQA is to improve quality that aligns with the site’s PPM and Demerit targets.

The main missions of the role are:

  • Establish incoming quality requirements to ensure correct parts are received and verified for product quality prior to their issuance into manufacturing
  • Review product inspection history to make future inspection decisions
  • Organize goods incoming inspection when required
  • Review parts that have been rejected by the production floor to determine root cause so that parts can be pre-dispositioned
  • Drive supplier quality improvement
  • Initiate and validate corrective and preventive actions with the suppliers for immediate containment actions (Request of RMA for dispositioned)
  • Manage supplier progress plans in co-operation with the plant buyers
  • Approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP); only after accepted by the Program Quality Engineer and the plant quality department

Qualifications
