The Permit Section Manager leads the Water Pollution Control Division's permitting programs within the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, managing approximately 25 staff members and overseeing all federally mandated permit activities for the Bureau of Water. The role requires strong leadership and technical expertise to establish policies, represent the IEPA to state and federal agencies, and ensure compliance with water pollution control regulations. Key qualifications:

• Current Illinois license as a registered professional engineer

• Four years of experience implementing state and federal laws and regulations related to water pollution control facilities
