Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician to independently service, maintain, and repair commercial fire sprinkler systems. The role requires diagnosing deficiencies, using hand tools and testing equipment, and ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.

Candidates should have 1+ years of experience in commercial fire sprinkler systems, a clean driving record, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in commercial fire sprinkler systems.
  • Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.
  • Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform commercial service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
  • Travel to job sites as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Independently perform commercial service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.

Other Duties: Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. Performs other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments. Ability to lift 50+ pounds. Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments. Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
