Responsibilities include:
- Receiving service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.
- Contacting customer representatives to ascertain equipment/system problems.
- Performing service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, including wet (steel, copper, and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
- Following troubleshooting procedures and referring to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, and medication notices to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational manuals.
- Providing effective customer service by communicating with district staff and customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Completing Service Acknowledgements electronically with proper coding and obtaining customer signatures.
- Participating in a scheduled on-call rotation.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Job details:
- Day shifts Monday – Friday with overtime as needed.
Requirements include:
- 2-5 years of documentation experience in Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
- Physical ability to carry and move equipment/tools up to 70 lbs and perform work in challenging positions and environments.
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and participation in on-call rotations.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug tests.
Preferred qualifications:
- NICET Level II.
- RME – I License.
