What You Will Do
- Receive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.
- Contact customer representatives to ascertain equipment/system problems.
- Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial applications, including wet (steel, copper, CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
How You Will Do It
- Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, and modification notices to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and manuals.
- Demonstrate high customer service skills, strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to work independently.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of documented experience in the fire sprinkler industry performing service and repair of sprinkler and suppression systems.
- Possession of necessary licenses according to national, state, and local codes.
- Maintain truck inventory for prompt customer response.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Valid driver’s license with a suitable driving record.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Physical ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Willingness to work in challenging positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, working at heights up to 60 feet, and in confined spaces.
- Ability to understand all safety requirements of the company and customer.
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Level II certification is a plus.
