Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is hiring a Sprinkler Install Technician in Boise, ID. You will independently install fire sprinkler systems, read blueprints, and ensure NFPA compliance at various job sites. The role requires communicating with customers and teammates, documenting work, and traveling to sites as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 3+ years in fire safety, with NICET I+ preferred, and a valid driver’s license. We offer strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician preferred.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system installation practices.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and installation reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

The Sprinkler Install Technician is responsible for independently performing installation of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.

• Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
