Job summary

Johnson Controls in Tucson, AZ seeks an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing and maintenance on life safety sprinkler/systems. You will document deficiencies, follow a strict inspection schedule and assist foreman with installations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Ability to obtain licenses required by National, State and Local codes.
• Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, programs and manuals.
• Physical labor capable, including carrying/moving equipment up to 50-70 lbs.
• Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines and perform routine inspections.
• Test, service, install and maintain life safety product lines and related equipment.
• Accurately discern and document deficiencies found during inspections.
• Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding via laptops or devices.
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
• Assist foreman in installing wet, dry, pre-action, deluge sprinkler systems.
• Perform work in challenging positions and environments.
