Selectek is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer in Greenville, SC, to create fire protection system layouts that comply with NFPA standards and building codes. What You’ll Do

As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you’ll be responsible for creating detailed fire protection system layouts that meet product specifications, NFPA standards, and building codes. You’ll work closely with project managers, contractors, and field teams to ensure seamless design and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler systems using HydraCAD and AutoCAD in accordance with NFPA 13, NFPA 14, and other applicable codes
• Prepare layout drawings, material lists, and perform hydraulic calculations
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP plans to coordinate system designs
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire protection codes
• Communicate with AHJs, clients, general contractors, and field personnel
• Assist with submittals, permitting, and approvals
• Provide technical support during construction and post-installation revisions
• Stay current with code updates and emerging technologies

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design
• Proficiency in HydraCAD and AutoCAD

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout
• Experience with pre-fabrication project listing
• NICET Certification in Fire Sprinkler Design
