Job summary

Fire Fighter Sales & Service Company in Warrendale, PA seeks a Sprinkler Design Manager to oversee designers and plan the design workload with the Sales Team and Project Management Team to ensure on-time delivery of field install drawings and fabrication lists.

You will assist the design team with questions on codes and strategies, prepare sprinkler drawings and calculations, and produce precise construction plans for approval, followed by stocking and requisition of materials for projects.

Qualifications

• College graduate with degree in Fire Protection Design or 7+ years of design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and sprinkler system design.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes for sprinkler design.
• NICET Level 2 minimum certification in sprinkler design; Level 3/4 preferred.
• Experience with HydraCAD and Autosprink is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical aptitude.
• Excellent organizational skills; team oriented.
• Willing to operate in a field/office hybrid setting and coordinate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team and manage schedules for the design workload.
• Coordinate with the Sales & Management team on design deadlines.
• Assist with design and layout of sprinkler systems as needed.
• Prepare field install drawings and fabrication lists for projects.
• Develop construction plans and accurate material stock listings after approvals.
