Sprinkler Construction Foreman

Job Responsibilities
- Installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Installation, service, and troubleshooting of automatic fire sprinkler systems along with all related equipment
- Lead project teams; oversee, direct, and delegate tasks to fitters and helpers to meet deadlines and budget
- Complete assigned projects in a timely manner, keeping under budget where possible
- Ensure all projects are completed flawlessly
- Work independently on projects
- Use project drawings to accurately interpret installation requirements
- Update daily installation progress notes on job contract drawings (as built)
- Communicate change orders to the fire sprinkler manager and/or project manager before commencement
- Thread and groove pipe, cut hanger rods, climb ladders, hang pipe, read blueprints, layout, maintain a clean work area, and use appropriate equipment for specific jobs
- Present weekly toolbox talks to employees
- Provide a safe working environment for employees

- Ensure production efficiency and communicate with superintendent
- Adhere to company SOPs – purchase orders, change orders, etc.
- Timely attendance, communication with supervisor, and paperwork completion
- Respond to customer satisfaction survey feedback and seek improvement opportunities
- Maintain quality control, reducing warranty work
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Communicate effectively and professionally within the department and with customers
- Teamwork and positive interactions within the team and office
- Participate actively in required team meetings
- Availability for overtime, out of town, or on-call work when needed
Knowledge
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler piping systems, fabrication and joining methods
- Understanding of fire protection installation requirements
- Ability to read fire protection blueprints
- High school diploma or equivalent
- American Fire Sprinkler Association training program for foreman (preferred)
- Nicet II & III certification (preferred)
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years as a Fire Sprinkler Foreman leading small teams
- Minimum 3 years as a fire sprinkler apprentice/fitter (preferred)
Skills And Competencies

- Accurate completion and maintenance of all paperwork

- Valid state driver's license with good driving record

- Knowledge of NFPA 13 rules and all necessary codes
