Job summary

Midstate Spring, Inc. in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Springmaker to fabricate and assemble compression, extension, and torsion springs using CNC-assisted tooling. You will read specifications, program machines, and ensure high-quality output.

The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Full-time position with first or second shift and relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with additional training in mathematics and gauging.
• 2 years of Spring Making (coiling/ forming springs) experience required.
• Over 2 years in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create springs used in power tools, firearms, and medical devices.
• Program specialty machines that combine CNC software with tooling to produce springs from round wire.
• Read customer specifications and use manufacturing measuring tools.
• Experience hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, dye and painting systems, and steel grinding.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure springs meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
