Job summary

The Mint Gaming Hall is hiring a Houseman to support housekeeping operations and guest service. Duties include restocking, cleaning, and responding to guest requests while complying with safety standards.

The role requires 18+ and the ability to pass background checks, with shifts including days and nights. You will work in a fast-paced casino environment, maintaining cleanliness and assisting with training as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Remove trash from Housekeepers
• Replace Vacuum bags
• Restock carts
• Remove dirty linens from carts
• Restock closets to set par levels
• Bring clean linens to carts
• Replace cleaning supplies
• Remove recyclables
• Respond to guest requests for additional items
• Strip beds before Housekeepers cleaning
• Ensure usage of approved cleaning chemicals
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Perform cleaning tasks to support the entire facility
• Empty trash and ash trays throughout the shift
• Stock, track, and order supplies as needed
• Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor promptly
• Work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
• Provide BIG Service to guests and ensure satisfaction with a friendly attitude
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with managers, staff, guests and vendors
• Work independently or as part of a team and stay compliant with industry regulations
• Keep a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations

JOB SUMMARY:

The Housemen primary purpose is to provide service to support internal guests. Duties are consistently performed in accordance with all company, state and federal standards of health and cleanliness to include compliance with State mandated initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Stocks, tracks, and orders supplies as needed.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Reports any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
• The ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
• To provide BIG Service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
• The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
• The ability and willingness to ensure that work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
• The ability to work safely. This includes clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shift and staff meetings

• Assist with training/mentoring of new Team Members as requested.
• Maintain all appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines.
• Inform manager on duty of any irregularities and unusual situations when they occur.
• Ability to keep a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations and a continuously fast-paced environment.
• Is honest in all interactions and displays a high degree of integrity.
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision or as part of a team is required.
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
• Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
• Must be able to obtain required work cards, and non-gaming registration as required by the local jurisdiction.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass any and all required background checks.
