Job summary

Springhill Suites by Marriott in Kentucky is seeking a dependable Breakfast Attendant to ensure a warm morning experience for guests. You will help maintain the breakfast area and provide friendly, attentive service.

This role requires weekend availability, adherence to Marriott standards, and strong cleanliness and safety practices. Training is aligned with Marriott Brand Standards and there are opportunities for cross-training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays (mandatory).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining Marriott brand standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and detail.
• Friendly, guest-focused attitude with strong customer service skills.
• Food handler certification preferred (or willingness to obtain if required).
• Internal candidates must meet the Transfer and Promotion policy requirements.
• Must be able to obtain required work cards, and non-gaming registration as required by the local jurisdiction.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass all required pre-employment requirement checks.

JOB SUMMARY:

At Springhill Suites by Marriott, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences from the very first meal of the day. We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and guest-focused Breakfast Attendant to join our team and help create a warm and welcoming morning experience for our guests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up, maintain, and break down the complimentary breakfast service area
• Ensure food items are stocked, fresh, and presented according to Marriott standards
• Maintain cleanliness of dining area, kitchen space, and food service stations
• Greeting guests and accommodates special requests as needed
• Inventory breakfast items regularly; communicate inventory needs to management
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of public areas and lobby
• Other duties as assigned.
• To provide BIG Service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
• The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
• The ability and willingness to ensure that work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
• The ability to work safely. This includes clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shift and staff meetings
• Maintain professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the shift.
