Qualifications

• Theater knowledge or training evidenced by education, training, or experience.
• Ability to teach acting and organize rehearsals for a production.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with students, staff, and families.
• Availability for rehearsals and performances, including evenings and weekends, plus district screenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan the spring play and secure script approvals and rights.
• Conduct auditions, cast selection with clear criteria.
• Develop rehearsal schedules and coordinate space and performance dates.
• Lead rehearsals and performances, teach acting and stage movement, provide feedback.
• Supervise students and maintain a safe, respectful environment; follow district procedures.
• Coordinate sets, props, costumes, lighting, and sound with staff/volunteers.
• Work within budget and coordinate purchases, publicity, programs, and ticketing.
• Communicate with students, families, and staff; coordinate cleanup and storage of materials.
