Job summary

Workiva Inc. is offering a remote internship focused on monitoring and maintaining enterprise systems, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced tech environment.

Interns will collaborate with the Operations team, participate in change management discussions, and contribute to knowledge documentation while developing practical IT operations skills and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, MIS, Network Administration, Accounting, or related field.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes under pressure.
• Ability to quickly triage problems, identify root causes, and drive issue resolution.
• Experience with AWS, networks, or servers.

What You'll Do

• Monitor, maintain, and enhance systems to ensure optimal performance
• Review system performance consistently, including alerts and notices, and take appropriate action quickly to prevent downtime
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain end-user computing and telecommunication systems
• Assist in the day-to-day operation of Workiva's systems and constantly look for ways to better meet internal customer needs
• Assist the Operations team through various activities, such as facilitating change management meetings, assembling knowledge documents, and helping with operations projects

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Network Administration, Accounting, or a related field of study
