Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Boys Lacrosse Assistant Coach for the Spring Season at Spanish Springs High School. The coach will work under the Principal and Athletic Director to guide students, promote safety, sportsmanship, and effective practice planning.

Responsibilities include coordinating practices, attending games, communicating with school leadership, and maintaining equipment and records as part of the Extended Day Duty activity.

Qualifications

• Defines coaching/advocacy for students; adheres to safety practices.
• Ability to build rapport and provide leadership to students.
• Maintains equipment and records; communicates with athletic leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develops rapport with students and provides leadership; models good sportsmanship.
• Maintains communication with Principal and Athletic Director regarding the program, trips, games.
• Develops accountability, upkeep and protection of equipment.
• Develops good public relations within school and community.
• Attends contests and practice sessions.
• Completes reports evaluating the activity and makes improvement recommendations.
