Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking an Assistant Lacrosse Coach for the Spring season at Spanish Springs High School. Under the supervision of the Principal and Athletic Director, you will coach boys lacrosse, guide students, ensure safety, and maintain program health.

This non-contracted position is compensated as a stipend under the Extended Day Duty Scale negotiated with WCSD. Weekend and variable times may be required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; preferred WCSD-teachers under contract.
Some experience participating in and/or functioning as a coach/advisor in this activity.
Knowledge of rules and regulations of the activity and safety considerations.
CPR certification is required for coaches/advisors involved in athletic activity.

Responsibilities

Develops rapport with students and provides sound leadership; models good sportsmanship.
Maintains communication with Principal/ Athletic Director regarding program, trips, games, etc.
Develops accountability and safeguards for equipment and facilities.
Cultivates good public relations within the school and community.
Attends contests and practice sessions and oversees reporting and evaluations.
