Job summary

Reed High School in Washoe County School District seeks a Boys Lacrosse Assistant Coach for the Spring Season. Under the supervision of the Principal and Athletic Director, you will coach and advise students, uphold safety standards, and foster a high level of sportsmanship.

You will lead organized practices, attend contests, coordinate with school staff, manage equipment, complete required reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; teaching certificate preferred.
• CPR certification required for coaches/advisors involved in athletics.
• Willingness to work on weekends and varied times.
• Knowledge of lacrosse rules and recent developments.
• Ability to lead, communicate, supervise students and promote sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Develops rapport with students; provides leadership and upholds sportsmanship.
• Keeps Principal/Athletic Director informed about trips and games.
• Develops system for accountability, upkeep and protection of equipment.
• Delivers positive public relations within the school and community.
• Attends contests and practice sessions.
• Completes reports evaluating the activity and recommends improvements.
