Job summary

Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, MA seeks a long-term English teacher substitute to cover a family leave in Spring 2027. The position involves teaching four sections of English (two English 9 and two English 12) and starting March 22 through June 3, 2027.

Strong candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred) and have middle/high school English teaching experience, preferably in an independent school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English or related field required.
• Experience teaching middle/high school English, preferably in an independent school.
• Ability to plan and develop course content and coordinate with co-teachers.
• Willingness to complete CORI/SORI background checks and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Teach four sections of English (two English 9 and two English 12).
• Implement plans and coordinate with section co-teachers.
• Develop and adapt course content to ensure curriculum quality and continuity.
• Cover family leave from March 22 to June 3, 2027.
