Job summary

The Levitt Foundation is seeking a Spring Communications Intern to support internal and external communications. The role focuses on curating, creating and publishing content for Levitt’s national programs and grants, helping to strengthen branding and social media presence.

You will work with the Communications Manager and Digital Communications Associate to produce blog posts, graphics, and social posts, while tracking media coverage and maintaining photo archives.

Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate junior/senior, graduate student or recent graduate.
• Preferably pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing or Nonprofit/Arts Administration.
• Some experience in graphic design, video editing and/or photography, a plus.
• Well‑versed in social media platforms, tools and trends.
• Excellent writing and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Write up to three blog posts about music and arts stories for the Levitt blog.
• Write up to two blog posts for a national blog series featuring Levitt grantees.
• Create engaging brand content for Levitt’s social media platforms; design graphics as needed.
• Promote the national #musicmoves campaign; craft posts and emails for launch.
• Assist in creating 2020 Levitt National Tour promo content (graphics, posts, videos).
• Update 2020 Levitt AMP Music Series site content as directed.
• Track media coverage of the Levitt network and identify social content opportunities.
• Maintain the Levitt photo archive with proper tagging.
• Help track Levitt AMP grantee acknowledgements and update artist database.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
