Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an engineering internship in Westminster, CO. You will collaborate with the test team to perform functional tests and measurements in our electronics lab, assemble test setups, and analyze data to drive quality improvements.

You will work with test architectures, logs, and fixtures, supporting production readiness from prototype through acceptance. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Collaborate with the test engineering team to execute tests in the electronics lab, including functional testing, digital signal integrity verification, and power converter control loop measurements.
• Work with test architectures and systems, including equipment selection, test fixtures, data logging methodology, and interfaces.
• Assemble complex test setups in coordination with design engineers and technicians.
• Execute tests at prototype, qualification, and acceptance stages.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues using engineering principles and problem-solving skills.
• Collect and analyze test data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Support quality control activities such as inspections, testing, and root cause analysis for non-conforming products.

About You

Preferred experience includes hands‑on use of lab instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers; programming or scripting skills in Python, LabVIEW, SQL, MATLAB, or Embedded C; and understanding of RF and mixed‑signal hardware components.
