Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manufacturing Co-op for Spring 2027 to join our Manufacturing team in San Angelo, Texas. Performs complex technical work including the design, manufacture and operation of structures, machines and systems, while supporting health, safety and continuous improvement practices in a global leader of healthcare solutions.

Ideal candidates are pursuing engineering or related degrees, with 0-2 years of experience and a keen interest in process improvement, equipment

Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
• Demonstrates some understanding of common engineering analysis tools such as statistical process control (SPC).
• Awareness of other engineering specialties and upstream stakeholders, including Quality Engineering and New Product Introduction teams.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of equipment effectiveness and manufacturing & maintenance concepts (OEE, SOL).
• Knowledge of product costs (COGS), Design to Value concepts, and cost levers.
• Ability to deliver oral and written communications around process improvement projects.
• Communication should show clarity of objectives.
• Demonstrates organized, analytical approach to problem solving.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Shows decision making and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to next management level.
• Follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide technical support for project planning, development, implementation, and modification; contribute to engineering standards development.
• Exercise independent judgment on some details of work.
• Perform assignments with complex objectives and multiple variables.
• Tackle work with highly complex features and few precedents.
• Handle tasks including equipment design, testing, specifications, process studies, and reporting.
• Fulfill other duties as needed.
