Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership is offering a Management Development Program in Escondido, CA. The 12-month rotation covers Front Office, Housekeeping and more, designed to build a broad operations foundation and leadership skills.

A dedicated mentor will guide you through structured learning, tasks and hands-on assignments. Candidates should have or be near completion of a bachelor’s degree (Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree by start date; hospitality or related study preferred.
• Recent graduates within current semester or up to one year post-graduation.
• Prior hospitality or resort operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through Front Office, Housekeeping, Recreation, Safety & Security, Food & Beverage, and Facilities to gain a comprehensive understanding of Resort Operations.
• Work with a dedicated mentor/sponsor to develop leadership skills and navigate the program.
• Interact with owners, guests and associates to build operational expertise.

Salary $54,500 annually ($26.20 hourly) + $2,000 sign on bonus

Program Overview

The Management Development Program offers a combination of learning activities, task-based assignments, practical work experience, and the ability to practice and developed leadership skills. Participants will also be partnered with a dedicated mentor/sponsor who will assist them with navigating the program.

• 12-month program rotating through multiple departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of Resort Operations.
  • Departments include – Front Office, Housekeeping, Recreation, Safety & Security, Food & Beverage, and Facilities.

• Curriculum contains Department Focused checklists with weekly focus areas.
• Opportunity to interact with owners, guests and associates while building operational expertise.

Program Requirements

• Candidates will need to have earned a bachelor’s degree by the time they begin the program. Preferred degree in Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management. Business and Hospitality minor will also be considered.
• Candidates should be recent graduates within the current semester or up to one-year post graduation.
• Prior hospitality or resort operations experience preferred.
