Qualifications

  • Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Apply school concepts to hands-on PCC projects.
  • Meet performance goals with progressive responsibility.
  • Identify and fix computer and network problems.
  • Attend weekly departmental meetings.
  • Own and manage identified projects.

Job description

Summary

The co-op student will be working on job assignments related to their information technology or engineering education. These increasingly challenging assignments will provide foremost an effective learning assignment and then a sound intellectual and/or financial return for the PCC organization.

  • The student will apply principles that he or she has learned in school to hands‑on situations, such as program development for PCC use.
  • The student will be responsible for accomplishing performance goals and will receive progressive responsibility throughout his/her co‑op experience.
  • Will identify and fix computer and network problems.
  • Student will attend a weekly departmental meeting.
  • Will take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
  • Participate on project teams for some assigned projects.
  • Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
  • Will have to work with network and server equipment.
  • Student can expand responsibilities into computer programming or controls, at their interest.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computer hardware
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Good writing skills and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, VB 6.0, C#, or VB.Net is a plus
  • US Person Status required
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
