Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking a Spring 2027 Interior Design Collegiate Associate in Appleton. You’ll assist designers with color theory, space planning and project management, delivering sample boards, renderings, and drawings for aircraft concepts.

This internship emphasizes real-world projects, collaboration, and opportunities to build professional connections in luxury aerospace interiors. Onsite role with a 10–16 week duration, housing stipend available for those living farther away.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design full-time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in presenting aircraft interior concepts (boards, renderings, drawings) to meet requirements and marketing objectives.
• Support interior design coordination for refurbishments and/or completions.
• Coordinate fabric material inquiries and availability for assigned aircraft.
• Organize and maintain materials and data within the design department.
• Support design completion activities as required.

About the position

We are looking for candidates that are self-starters with a strong eagerness to learn and have a collaborative spirit, ready to support designers in delivering our high-end luxury products. During this internship you will be able to apply your skills related to color theory, space planning and project management. Successful candidates can prioritize their work, apply time management strategies and find new and innovative ways to make a difference in their role.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide effective assistance with presentations (sample boards, renderings, drawings) of aircraft design concepts incorporating customer requirements to achieve marketing objectives and to meet all FAA requirements
• Interface with interior design to develop effective presentations for aircraft refurbishments and/or completions.
• Assist in coordinating all fabric material inquiries and reserves to check for availability for assigned aircraft
• Organize, prepare, distribute and file materials and data to help establish and maintain effective communication and information systems within the design department.
• Support completion design as required.
• Knowledge of design principles, color science, textile, carpet, and leather techniques.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

4. Must work onsite; this is not a remote position.
5. Must have reliable transportation.
