Job summary

The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York invites applications for a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern for Spring 2027. The role supports the Finance team with budget templating, process automation, and project-based reporting and analytics.

You will refine budget templates, automate recurring tasks, track variances, prepare summaries and dashboards for leadership reviews, and collaborate with fundraising analytics and cash flow reporting.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate student with finance/accounting/economics background preferred.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; BI/automation tools optional but valued.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to handle large datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Refine budget templates used across departments for planning.
  • Identify and build automation for recurring budget and forecasting tasks.
  • Track actuals vs budget and flag variances.
  • Prepare summaries and dashboards for internal leadership reviews.
  • Support fundraising analytics and cash flow reporting data cleaning.
