Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Spring 2027 Co-op in Business Process Excellence, HR Transformation, to support redesigned HR services and process improvement initiatives. You will help track performance, manage backlogs, and craft job aids and communications using AI tools.

This paid co-op runs January through June 2027 in Boston, MA. Requires enrollment in a master's program and 3+ years of prior work experience; flexibility to work on-site with strong analytical and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Management, Information Systems or Business Process Management.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; Vertex does not sponsor internships/co-ops.
• Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours/week January–June 2027.
• 3+ years of full-time professional work experience prior to graduate school.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-launch baseline and business case goals: turnaround times, hours saved, cost savings.
• Maintain backlog of issues with owners and due dates; lead stakeholder sessions.
• Develop job aids, process guides, FAQs and checklists; draft communications using AI tools.
• Partner with HR service owners and operations teams; share findings in leadership reviews.
