Job summary

Peraton is seeking Spring 2027 Co-Op Engineers in Blacksburg, VA or Herndon, VA to support government programs. You will design, develop, and test cutting-edge technology in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and AI/ML under direct supervision in an Agile team.

Ideal candidates are undergrad or graduate students pursuing BS/BA or MS/MA in CS/CE/SE or related fields, with familiarity in Java, Python, C++, and Bash, and able to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Current undergraduate or graduate student progressing toward a BS/BA or MS/MA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with software development and/or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, Bash).
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to new concepts.
• Hands-on experience via coursework or internships.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test leading-edge technology solutions in cybersecurity, satellite ground systems, information management, cloud computing, and AI/ML.
• Collaborate in a team-oriented Agile software development environment.
• Support multiple government programs and contracts in Blacksburg, VA or Herndon, VA.
