Job summary

Lewis Tree Service is seeking a Spray Technician to support utility vegetation management by applying herbicide and pesticide treatments along rights-of-way, ensuring reliable service for customers. You will operate spray equipment and calibrate systems while maintaining records and complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain/maintain a state pesticide/herbicide applicator license.
• Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
• Ability to follow label directions and safety procedures.
• Attention to detail when mixing and applying chemicals.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Mix and apply herbicides and pesticides per label directions.
• Operate spray equipment including trucks, backpacks, and handheld sprayers.
• Identify target vegetation and select treatment methods and chemicals.
• Monitor weather and environmental factors for safe application.
• Calibrate equipment and maintain accurate treatment records.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Communicate with property owners and customers regarding activities.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
