Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Job Summary

Responsible for the successful prevention and/or treatment of pest and disease presence on commercial landscapes.

Responsibilities

1. Perform fertilization, herbicide, and pest management treatments on turf using approved spray equipment.
2. Calculate product and carrier quantities.
3. Mix and apply plant protection and fertilizer products using various equipment.
4. Handle chemicals safely.
5. Complete required paperwork accurately.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• At least 2 years of commercial pesticide operator experience.
• Valid driver’s license and pesticide license as required by law.
• Strong customer service and urgency.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and organize.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Effective communication skills.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to interpret instructions and solve problems.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions

• Constantly talk, hear, see, sit, stand, and walk.
• Able to see at various distances and adjust focus.
• Use hands to manipulate objects and tools.
• Reach, bend, climb, and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, sometimes with fumes or chemicals.
