Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Job Summary

Responsible for the successful prevention and/or treatment of pest and disease presence on commercial landscape.

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform fertilization, herbicide, and pest management treatments on turf using approved spray equipment.
2. Calculate product and carrier quantities.
3. Properly mix and apply plant protection and/or fertilizer products using various types of application equipment.
4. Handle all chemicals safely.
5. Complete required paperwork accurately.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of commercial pesticide operator experience.
• Valid driver’s license issued by the state where employed.
• Pesticide license issued by the state where employed.
• Strong customer service and sense of urgency.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and organize effectively.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Effective communication skills in English; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.

Physical Demands & Work Conditions

• Constantly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand, and walk.
• Must have good vision and depth perception.
• Frequent use of hands for manipulation.
• Occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and handle chemicals safely.
